Matariki (or Pleiades) is known by many different names and is seen and celebrated by many cultures. In Aotearoa, the mid-winter appearance of Matariki heralds a period of remembrance, joy and peace and is a time for unity and celebration, marking the start of new beginnings.
Prepare for a special concert that will delight the whole family, perfectly timed for the next school holidays. See it once or see it twice because we're putting on TWO back-to-back concerts!
Based on the wonderful book of the same name, written by Rangi Matamua and Miriama Kamo, illustrated by Isobel Joy Te Aho-White, and published by Scholastic New Zealand.
